Time Does Not Heal
Time does not heal all wounds, only
papers over, lets fade, until
the sharpness of a blow is less—
but not diminished in its depth—
and naught but eschaton will right
the hurts which change us deepest, most;
and that our crooked pains will not
undo—but of them make us new.
